Recipe - Slow cooker Spag Bol!!

If you have a slow cooker, this recipe is fantastic for a family meal

Slow cookers are really useful at times. I have found that there is nothing better then the smell of your sinner cooking away whilst you get on with the daily routine! They are also great for busy parents who work as you can put it all
your ingredients in the cooker in the morning, and come home to a lovely meal!

I have always just made stews in my slow cooker, but recently have tried experimenting with other ideas and thought i would try a spaghetti bolognese in there for a change. So, here is my recipe, literally what I decided to put in at the time, but tastes sooooo good, and my daughter loves it!!

Childcare Clair's slow cooked Bolognese

You will need:

500g passata
500g Extra lean beef mince
1 onion, finely chopped
75g mushrooms, chopped
1 green pepper, deseeded and chopped
1 tbs Worcester sauce
1 oxo Bolognese cube
1 tsp mixed herbs
1. Fry the beef, onion, peppers and mushrooms. The meat does not have to be cooked through, just browned.

2. Add to the slow cooker and stir in the other ingredients.

3. Place slow cooker on low setting and cook for 5-7 hours.

4. 20 mins before serving, cook some spaghetti according to the packet instructions

5. Serve with the pasta and some grated cheese, if desired.

Give it a go!!
