Excercise more Mums!

Mums are not doing enough excercise according to local paper

When flicking through my local paper last week, I came across an article about new mums find it hard to fit in exercise into their daily lives. I must admit, I am one of those Mums!!

Research by the Womens Sport and fitness foundation found that over 80 per cent of women do too little physical activity to benefit their health. So, the charity is recommending that mums get back into shape by getting physical activity back into their lives by checking local centres who may run classes to keep fit with creches to keep your children amused.

The recommended amount of physical activity is 30 mins three times a week. This could be done simply by walking briskly with the buggy. I used to try to walk with the pushchair once a day, over a hill close by and round in a big circle. I stopped doing this a while ago, and if the weather is not good, the thought doesn't thrill me. I'm going to set myself the challenge to try and get 30 mins three times a week, as recommended. I wonder how long it will last!!!
